Matt Cook is Head of Emerging Technologies for University of Oklahoma Libraries. In that role, he has overseen the implementation of multiple, award-winning makerspaces and visualization facilities, while developing custom tools and systems to support research and instruction with virtual reality. As Co-PI on the Institute for Museum and Library Studies (IMLS) funded ?Developing Library Strategy for 3D and Virtual Reality Collection Development and Reuse?, Matt worked with a range of leaders to research implementation strategies for educational virtual reality. Matt has published widely on the topic of virtual reality, including papers on the impact immersive visualization tools have on library browsing strategies, teaching and learning, and classroom implementation strategies. Alongside colleagues at the University of Arizona and the University of North Carolina, Matt is co-authoring a book-length implementation guide for incorporating virtual reality in academic libraries (due 2020)
